From November 19th through December 19th, 2010 I will have a one person show at the The Sideshow Gallery in New York City. There will be a 32 page catalog for the show with essays by the art critic Robert C. Morgan and Biographer Peter Hastings Falk.
In 2008 my painting was exhibited in a group auction show at the ACA Gallery in New York City. January and February of 2006, 2007, and 2008 my work was shown in a group exhibition at the Sideshow Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. During May of 2005 I had a one person exhibition at the Chris Winfield Gallery in Carmel, California.
In 2006 I received the Adolf Gottlieb Foundation Grant in painting.
This past summer my work was in a group exhibition at the Sideshow Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The Brooklyn Rail reproduced my work in a review written by Loren Monk in their Summer Issue.
In January of 2005 my work was included in the show entitled: “Contemporary Women Artists: New York at Indiana State University. The show was curated by Judy Collischan.
In December of 2003 I was invited to exhibit my work at the Florence Biennale Florence, Italy. At that time I was awarded the prize in painting. The Gallery Alessandro Bagnai in Florence will also be showing my work in a group show.
In January of 2002 I received the Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant in painting.
October of 2001 I had a one person exhibition at the Andre Zarre Gallery in Chelsea, New York. Robert C. Morgan, New York art critic wrote the essay in the catalogue for this show. The show was reviewed by Edwardo Marceles in the Newspaper “Hoy” in Spanish with full color reproductions of the paintings during the month of October.
In the year 2000 I had a retrospective exhibition at Museo de Las Americas in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. The museum made a 18 page catalogue in full color for the exhibition with critical essays by Stephen Westfall ( New York art critic) and Manuel Alverez Lezama(art critic from Puerto Rico).
In October of 2000 year my painting was included a group exhibition called “Straight Painting” at the Painting Center in Soho. The brochure for this show was written by Robert Morgan. This year my work was also included in a group show at the Joe and Emily Lowe Museum at Hofstra University. The title of the show is: “PAINTED: Viewpoints of Recent Developments of Abstract Painting in New York”. The catalogue was written by Robert C. Morgan. The show was recently reviewed in the New York Times on Sunday March 18 by Helen A. Harrison.
In January and February of 1998 I had a retrospective museum exhibition at: Museo Voluntariado de las Cases Reales Casa de Bastidas, the primary museum in the Dominican Republic. The show was sponsored by Verizon,. In April the exhibition was also shown at Museo de la Plaza de la Cultura a museum in Santiago, Dominican Republic.

In 1986 I won the Prix de Rome Fellowship in painting for the Academic year 1986-1987 to paint and live at the American Academy in Rome. In 1983 and 1979 I received the National Endowment For The Arts grant in painting.
My work is in the permanent collection among others of the following museums: The Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo, New York, the Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn, New York, the Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas,Texas, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Texas and Museo Vountariado de las Casas Reales Casa de Bastidas Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. My work is also in the permanent corporate collections of Verizon and the Prudential Company, New York, New York among others I was commissioned by Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts to create a work which is now displayed in their main lobby. I also have a mural on exhibition in the main lobby of 909 Third Avenue, New York City, national headquarters for several large corporations.
For three decades I have been exhibiting my paintings in New York around the country and internationally. Including two Whitney Biennials along with other museum shows. Since 1974 I have had gallery one person exhibitions in New York City the galleries that have represented my work have been: Fishbach Gallery, Willard Gallery, Graham Modern and Andre Zarrre Gallery.
